Another Sold-out Screening
It was a fantastic summer evening for a movie under the stars on July 21, 2016. I was honored to have been asked by The Asbury's Baronet Theater, Asbury Park's hottest new venue to screen "Love Wins". And it was another sell-out crowd, with proceeds going toward Garden State Equality.
Joining me on stage were Jane Clementi (with microphone) who was my special guest to share in spreading the film's important message. Jane's son Tyler, at the young age of 18, became a victim of a horrible act of cyber-harassment and humiliation because he was gay. Several days later, Tyler Clementi ended his life by jumping off the George Washington Bridge.
Jane, along with Christian Fuscarino, executive director of Garden State Equality and the stars of Love Wins, Jan Moore and Emily Sonnessa hosted an evening Q& A prior to the screening. The crowd was moved to tears, yet inspired by the important message and story that needs to be told.
